Teenager sentenced in Mishawaka shooting death

A teenager has been sentenced in connection to the shooting death of a man at Central Park in Mishawaka.

The suspect, 19-year-old Daniel Allen, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

He will also be on probation for 7 years.

The charges of murder and attempted murder of Vincenzo Trozzy were dropped.

The other teen charged in the case, Tayshawn Malczynski, was found guilty of attempted murder, but a mistrial was declared for his other charges.

Malcyznski pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

He will be sentenced on October 25.
