Fire Prevention Week

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

Fire Prevention Week is happening from October 9 through October 15.

And the Indiana Department of Homeland Security is partnering with the National Fire Protection Association, to encourage Hoosier to plan ahead, in the case of a house fire.

They say that new homes can burn faster, because of the material used.

They want families to be aware of the risks of fires and how to keep their loved ones safe.

The Department will be sharing information for families during the week.

The theme for Fire Prevention Week this year is “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.”
