Man injured after house fire in Cass County

A house fire in Cass County led to one injury.

It happened on Sunday, October 9, just before 9 a.m. in the 67000 block of Valley Road in Porter Township.

Crews were dispatched on reports of a structure fire.

They say that the home exploded, because of the fire.

The owner of the home, a 53-year-old White Pigeon man, was found outside with injuries.

He was taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
