Harrison Elementary receives donation

Students at Harrison Elementary School in South Bend have will have more ways to stay active after school.

They were given a $20,000 donation from the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation.

The school says that before the donation, they were only able to fund 2 sports programs.

ABC 57 News reports that now students will not have to pay to participate in sports and that specialized equipment will be available for each activity.

The school can now add baseball, basketball, and cheerleading for students.
