The woman who was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a home in Mishawaka has died.
The collision happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at the intersection of Division and East Russ Streets.
The initial investigation shows a 16-year-old boy was driving east on Russ and collided with a car driving south on Division.
The force of the crash sent the vehicle driven by 31-year-old Ashley Nicole Stevens of Osceola into the home.
Stevens was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died on Wednesday. The 16-year-old was taken to a local hospital with pain.
A 67-year-old man who lives at the home that was hit was also taken to the hospital.

Who is born & when & who dies & how & when is totally & completely up to GOD ! I am fine with exceptions to the law as you have said rape and incest but other than that or if it’s the choice between the mothers life and the child’s life those are the only exception just because they go out and get pregnant and they don’t want to be then they should use contraceptives it doesn’t give them to write to kill an unborn child!
Pretty sure you posted under the wrong story. This is such a tragedy and indicative of this time people drive horribly and often right past police who don’t pull them over.
You said it, my friend. If you don’t want the baby give it up for adoption, give a family the baby they’ve always dreamed of having & don’t be selfish. Don’t murder an innocent child.
