I-94 lanes reopened

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

All lanes of I-94 reopened on Tuesday as crews completed the work connecting the interstate to US 31.

Crews are still finishing the stretch of 31 in Benton Township and expect to reopen it this weekend.

When the project is completed, US 31 will connect to I-94 and I-196.

This area of work is part of a 121 million-dollar project that started in 2020.

It finished the US 31 freeway that was first started in 1972.
