Juvenile detained after discovery of firearm at Riley High School

A juvenile has been detained following the discovery of a firearm at Riley High School.
Around 9 a.m. on Friday, school officials at Riley High School received a tip about a firearm being brought into the school building.
School security staff and the South Bend Police School Resource Officer collaborated to quickly recover the weapon.
Through an investigation, a juvenile was detained at the Juvenile Justice Center. The juvenile’s identity was not released.
