Two cold cases are being reopened.

The Michigan State Police are reopening the pair of cases from 1973.

According to police, Janis Kay Sanders from Niles and Janeice Langs from South Bend both went missing in November of that year.

WSBT reports that the two had both dated a man named Gerald Libertowski, at separate times and went missing a short time after moving out of his house.

The cases were dismissed because of lack of evidence and the bodies were never found.

Libertowski died in 2010.
