Give blood in downtown South Bend on Wednesday
Community members are invited to give blood at the County-City Building in downtown South Bend.
The drive will be in the lobby of the County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
According to the American Red Cross, one donation has the potential to save up to three lives. Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished. That is why it is so important to bring in new donors and to make it easy for existing donors to come back regularly.
For those reasons, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office joined forces with the American Red Cross to bring this blood drive to a location that gets heavy foot traffic every day. If you plan to be in downtown South Bend on Wednesday, please consider stopping by the County-City Building lobby and donating blood to those who urgently need it.
Sign up online or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
