New details have been released regarding a triple shooting, last weekend, in South Bend.

It’s been ruled a murder-suicide, according to South Bend Police.

Officers were called just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, to the 2800 block of West Calvert Street where they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds inside a home. Debbie Lechtanski, 60, and Robert Lechtanski, 62, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old woman was taken to Memorial Hospital and remains in stable condition.

Two other individuals were in the home, but were not hurt.

Through witness interviews and the processing of evidence, detectives determined that Robert Lechtanski shot his wife, Debbie and a family friend before suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
