A man is facing an attempted murder charge, after being accused of shooting a woman in the head.

It happened on November 21 at Ox Bow Park. Police say that the man, 35-year-old John Brandon Cox, was being driven by the woman, who he had recently met after talking to her on Facebook.

Witnesses say that when the two were at the park in the car, Cox shot the woman in the head.

Then, he allegedly threw her out of the drivers seat and ran over her arms before driving away.

The woman is recovering.

Cox is set to be back in court on January 5.
