MACOG open house set regarding proposed changes for Transpo, Interurban Trolley

The Michiana Council of Governments is hosting a series of open house events to allow resident to learn more about the proposed Draft Plan for the new transit network.
The plan presents the proposed goals and priorities for transit in South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart and Goshen in two scenarios, a Short Term Network and an Additional Funding Network for the Transpo and Interurban Trolley systems.
The Short Term Network recommends changes that MACOG says would support higher ridership and better access for most people, within the current budget. They say the  outcomes of the proposed changes would improve service for many, but also have trade-offs for others that might have less frequent service.
Whether you ride transit or not, your taxes help pay for bus service, so they are inviting input from everybody.
Three open houses are taking place between Jan. 10 – 12 in Mishawaka, South Bend, Elkhart, and Goshen.
