The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Indiana, along with LGBTQ activists and supporters, organized an event at the statehouse on Monday to protest against several bills that they believe challenge the rights of LGBTQ Hoosiers.
According to the ACLU of Indiana, a record number of bills that are aimed at attacking the rights of LGBTQ individuals have been filed this session. The speakers at the event will address these bills, which they believe push trans youth and adults out of public life.
One of the bills that the group will be protesting against is legislation that bans gender-affirming treatment. They believe Gender-affirming care is crucial for transgender individuals, as it can encompass the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of physical and mental health conditions, including sex reassignment therapies.
The group also highlighted legislation that they say censors in-school discussions about issues that affect LGBTQ people, bills that could restrict books about LGBTQ individuals, and bills that they sat will limit people’s ability to update their gender information on state-issued ID cards.

The American Communist Litigation Union (ACLU) is a hate group who, in this case, supports gender DESTROYING care as there is nothing remotely “affirming” about mutilating kids.

If that kid turns 18 and wants to go under the knife that’s fine, but we don’t let kids choose to smoke, drink, enter into contracts, join the military, buy a gun, carry a gun, or even go to a tanning bed until they are 18 because they haven’t developed the decision making abilities to guide their own life. Why should they be allowed to mutilate themselves before that time?
