Two people charged after police found drugs in vehicle during traffic stop

Two people have been charged after police found drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Around 12:50 Friday morning an officer witnessed an SUV traveling almost 100 miles per hour on U.S. 31.

The officer initiated a traffic stop, during which K9 Officer Diesel was brought to the scene and alerted to the smell of narcotics.

ABC 57 News says officers found marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and paraphernalia that tested positive for cocaine in the vehicle.

The driver, identified as William Biggs Jr., and a passenger, Jamie Bledsoe, were taken to the Marshall County Jail on charges of possession of cocaine or narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

The driver was also charged with reckless driving.

The two are being held on $1,500 cash bonds.
