Police agencies across the nation were put on alert about a man wanted in Georgia on an extradition warrant, but it was in Marshall County where that suspect was pulled over by police.

The arrest of 27-year-old Tim Jallah of Atlanta happened when a sheriff’s deputy approached his van in the area of U.S. 31 and 17th Road and smelled marijuana. That led to a search of the vehicle. Inside, police found a gun and pot.

ABC 57 News reports Jallah was taken to the Marshall County Jail on charges of serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and the outstanding warrant.
