New updates on the book policy in the Brandywine Schools district.

The board voted to suspend all “sexually explicit and violent books and material” from the middle and high school library. It happened at the board of education meeting last week.

This, after the new explicit book material committee was formed and audits of the school’s books took place.

Leader Publications reports that the suspension is a precaution until they can determine if a book is too explicit.

Some people at the meeting say that the suspension could lead to book bans.
