A Niles man received his second prison sentence in two months on Monday.

31-year-old Kyle Lee Sears pleaded guilty to two counts of resisting and obstructing police, and, according to Leader Publications, he was sentenced to concurrent terms of 14 months to two years in prison.

On October 17, 2022, police reportedly responded to calls saying Sears had barricaded himself in the bathroom of his house with a rifle.

Police ended up leaving the scene and arresting him on a later date.

Sears was also sentenced in January to 20 months to 10 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine earlier in 2022.

And, Sears was previously sentenced in prison in 2020 after a meth-related incident in 2019.

Sears was out on bond at the time of the most recent incident
