Sentence reduction denied for former Goshen church youth leader convicted of child molestation

The answer is “no” after a former Goshen church youth leader convicted of molesting at least five boys asked to have his prison sentence reduced.
Scott Christner, 49. has served roughly 14-months of his 20 year sentence.
Christner’s attorney made the request based, in part, on accomplishments he said his client has made while in prison.
WSBT reports The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office called the request “appalling.”
The judge agreed with the prosecutor’s office, given he’s served only a fraction of his sentence.

Prison or a small deserted island is where he needs to be. The Elkhart County prosecutor and judges are tougher than St. Joseph County.

Glad he has accomplished something in prison, so he has finished the reform phase so now it’s time for the punishment phase of the sentence.
