Indiana lawmakers are advancing a measure that aims to recruit more teachers.

House BIll 1528 would provide scholarships to those in other careers who decide to start teaching.

This comes at a time where there are over 14-hundred teaching positions open on Indiana’s online education job board.

The bill passed unanimously in the House and now moves to a Senate committee for consideration.
