A new proposal is making its way through Ontwa Township and Edwardsburg.

The planning commission has a proposal to rezone land for Market Park, a commercial and multi-family housing development.

It would be between the Edwardsburg Sports Complex and First Pentecostal Church, creating new spaces, an ice rink, a park and more.

Leader Publications reports some residents have concerns about the new development.

These include safety concerns and whether or not Ontwa Township and Edwardsburg could support an increase in population and traffic in that area.
