The former Purdue student accused of stabbing his roommate to death last year will not be going to trial yet for his crimes.
Ji Min Shah was arrested after investigators found Varun Chedda stabbed to death in the dorm room the two shared.
Since then Shah has undergone a few mental evaluations and a judge has ruled that he is not competent to endure a murder trial.
Medical experts say he may have schizophrenia and will be held at a mental institution for the next 90 days.
During that time the hope is for Shah to improve to the point he can stand trial.
