Cassopolis man sentenced to probation after picking up, using credit card found at casino

A Cassopolis man was sentenced to probation after picking up a credit card he found at the Dowagiac Four Winds Casino and using it.
The incident happened in October of 2020.
According to Leader Publications, Joshua Northrop pleaded guilty to retaining a financial transaction device without consent and conspiracy to retain a financial transaction device without consent.
He was sentenced to two years on probation as well as $2,836 in fines and costs.
These are reportedly Northrop’s fifth and sixth felony convictions, though he has not been in trouble since the incident.
