Two officers injured, one suspect killed after high-speed chase

A high-speed chase unfolded between Indianapolis police officers and two suspects on Thursday afternoon.
The chase began when the officers attempted to stop the suspects’ vehicle near 30th and Post Road.
Despite two attempts to halt the car during the pursuit, the suspects managed to evade the police and turn into a business parking lot near 30th and Post Road, where they were ultimately cornered.
A fatal gunfight ensued between the suspects and officers, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old suspect armed with an AR-type rifle. Two officers were injured, but are expected to recover.
]The police car was riddled with bullets, showcasing the intensity of the exchange of fire.
The passenger initially fled the scene, but was later apprehended by the police and taken into custody.
