The City of South Bend has announced the recipients of the Neighborhood IGNITE grants.

The IGNITE Grant Program was launched in July last year to provide grants for neighborhood associations and residents within their neighborhoods.

The funds are used to help start resident-led projects that will have positive impacts on communities.

Eight recipients and projects were awarded the 2022 Neighborhood Grants.

LaSalle Park Neighborhood Association and Miami Village were awarded grants for neighborhood signage, and the Monroe Park Neighborhood Association received a grant for a neighborhood tool trailer.

Northshore Triangle, Near West Side Neighborhood Organization, River Park Neighborhood Association, Near Northwest Neighborhood, and Lincoln-Bendix Neighborhood Association were also recipients of grants.

Applications for the 2023 IGNITE Grant will be released in May.
