Three people were hurt in a rear-end collision on State Road 19 near the U.S. 20 bypass.

The collision happened in rainy weather just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, when a Toyota Camry driven by a 33-year-old woman from Chicago was traveling too fast for road conditions and hit the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle that was struck was sitting at a stoplight north of the bypass when it was struck.

The driver who police say caused the crash suffered pain to her arm. The two women in the vehicle that was hit suffered neck and chest pain.
