Michigan City man arrested following complaints about illegal activity

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force and the Fugitive Apprehension Street Team recovered firearms, illegal drugs, and money, and made one arrest as a result of a search warrant that was executed in Michigan City.

In recent weeks, officers began receiving complaints of illegal activity occurring in the 3000 block of Cleveland Avenue in Michigan City.

As a result of the investigation, Bobby Franklin, 40, was arrested for dealing in cocaine or narcotic drug.

Franklin was transported to the La Porte County Jail where he is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

Franklin will have his initial court appearance on Monday, May 1.
