U.S. 20 designated as ‘National Medal of Honor Highway’

Legislation has been introduced by three Republican senators, designating U.S. 20 as the “National Medal of Honor Highway.”

With Indiana being home to 156 miles of U.S. 20, Indiana’s Todd Young is one of those senators.

The Medal of Honor is the highest military award for valor.

With the highway being the longest continuous highway in the country, re-designating it as the “National Medal of Honor Highway” would honor current and future Medal of Honor recipients all around the country.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has placed eight commemorative signs along the route in seven counties.
