A man from Illinois has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for his involvement in the murders of Malik Balderos and Ricky Kinds in October 2020.

Tyrik Rayford, 24, received a 55-year sentence for the charge of murder and an additional 30-year sentence for conspiracy to commit murder. Both of these sentences will be served concurrently.

An extra 20 years were added to Rayford’s sentence due to a guilty charge for a firearm enhancement. This portion of the sentence will be served consecutively to the initial two charges.

In March, Rayford was found guilty of killing 21-year-old Balderos and 20-year-old Kinds. The shooting occurred at the Waterford Glen Apartments on October 22, 2020.

Cost of jailing a murderer for 75 years: $7,500,000
Cost of a rifle round: $0.50

We are doing it wrong.

At least he won’t be making babies with dysfunctional unwed women, who don’t raise their children with any moral compass. Prison sometimes is the best birth control method.
