Osceola man, 20, jailed after alcohol-involved rollover crash injures woman

An Osceola man was taken to the Elkhart County Jail after an apparent injury crash in which alcohol may have played a factor.

The collision happened around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, at State Road 13 and County Road 10 in Middlebury.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Tanner Sousley, 20, was traveling westbound and failed to stop at the intersection, hitting another vehicle.

The force of the collision caused both vehicle to leave the roadway and rollover. Sousley suffered minor cuts and scrapes and was treated at the scene.

A 37-year-old woman from Kentwood, Michigan who was driving the car he hit suffered a head injury, cuts and scrapes and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.

Sousley was taken to the Elkhart County Jail for with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
