Merrifield Park Pool set to reopen with new rules, regulations

Image from ABC57
The Merrifield Park Pool is set to reopen on Friday, June 2, implementing a range of new rules and regulations.
The rules are in response to an incident last summer involving a large altercation among approximately 25 to 30 juveniles.
One significant change is the discontinuation of day passes.
Now, entry requires the presentation of a valid photo I-D along with the corresponding passes.
Also, visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while at the pool premises.
To ensure a safer environment, security guards will be on-site during open-swim hours, and the installation of security cameras has been completed.

Good rules I hope they retain the ID until the swimmer and parent leave Accountability A few rotten kids ruined a great experience for so many South bend kids who used to visit the pool by Church Buses to enjoy maybe one great day a month in the summer. What happened to the kids who ruined it? Were they ever punished ?

“Juveniles” is the new code word, like “Youths”.

The first step to recovery is admitting that there is a problem.
