Sturgis man sentenced for murder of girlfriend in 2019

St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office

After four years, a Sturgis man was finally sentenced after pleading no contest to charges related to killing his girlfriend and sexually assaulting an inmate once in custody.

It was in May of 2019 when police received a tip about a man storing a woman’s body in his apartment.

39-year-old Wade Allen was arrested, and on Thursday was sentenced to 39 to 60 years in prison for second degree homicide, two to five years for attempted dismemberment and mutilation, and 38 months to five years, consecutive to the murder sentence, for attempted third degree criminal sexual conduct.

Allen’s sentencing includes restitution for the victim’s burial expenses as well as a lifetime registration with the Michigan sex offender registry.

Consecutive sentences are a crime in of themselves. This POS should never see the light of day; and since there is no good reason to let him waste food and fresh air it should be a quick trip through the felon zapper…like a fly zapper but better.
