Two people recovering after crash on U.S. 12 at Union Road

A woman who suffered a medical issue while behind the wheel and crashed into a building is recovering.

The collision happened around 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, near the intersection of US-12 and Union Road in Mason Township.

Cass County sheriff’s investigators say the 56-year-old driver from Jones crossed into the westbound lane of travel before her vehicle left the roadway and struck a building. The building was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

Walsh had a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. She, and the man who was traveling with her, were taken by ambulance to Three Rivers Hospital with minor injuries.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the collision.
