Indiana University approves 3-percent tuition increase

Indiana University has approved 3-percent tuition increase.
The I.U. Board of Trustees approved the move to increase in-state tuition at its Wednesday meeting.
The increase apples to I.U. campuses and comes after the school established a new fee structure that eliminated many fees for some students.
Inside Indiana Business reports the university says the increase is less than national trends, commission guidance, and inflation of 5.5%, and that the university is one of the lowest-costing in the Big Ten.
