NIPSCO urging families to practice caution around construction zones

NIPSCO is urging families to discuss construction zone safety with children this summer.

As Indiana communities experience an increase in road expansion and construction projects, caution should be practiced near work sites.

NIPSCO says to never walk, run, or play around construction sites or equipment, always be alert of signage and sidewalks, avoid using handheld devices while in construction zones, and to listen for instruction by construction workers.

They say to always read signs, stay outside of orange cones, and to avoid construction sites altogether if possible.
