Elkhart River Queen launch delayed due to engine leak

A leak in one of the boat’s engines delayed the launch of the beloved Elkhart River Queen on Monday.

The leak was found in the port engine shortly after the boat was placed in the water.

It was built in 1948 for tours in Elkhart and has been taken out of the fiver twice – once in 2015, and again in 2022 – for various repairs.

The Elkhart River Queen is expected to be relaunched next Monday morning.
