Two people onboard motorcycle struck by vehicle on U.S. 33 in Elkhart County

Two people were hurt when a motorcycle was struck by a car at U.S. 33 and Arlene Avenue.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, when Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators say a 77-year-old Elkhart woman behind the wheel of a car failed to yield and struck the motorcycle.

The 33-year-old Elkhart man operating the motorcycle was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with body pain. His 32-year-old passenger was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with a head injury.

The driver of the car was not hurt.
