Potawatomi Zoo asks community for help naming new flamingo chick

Photo Supplied - Potawatomi Zoo

There’s a new baby at the Potawatomi Zoo, and now’s your chance to help pick her name.

Zookeepers have narrowed it down to four names: Guava, Lotus, Malibu or Raspberry.

Zoo staff have installed four boxes near the Flamingo Pond at the zoo, each with one of the name options on it.

Visitors can drop some change into the box with their favorite name, and at the end of the month the name with the most money collected will win.

Money collected will be donated to a non-profit that helps save flamingos.
