Apple getting rid of My Photos Stream

If you’re an Apple user who backs up pictures using My Photo Stream, you could be at risk of losing your photos.

Apple is getting rid of My Photo Stream at the end of the month.

It was created to make it easier for photos to sync across multiple Apple devices.

A user’s most recently-taken photos were automatically stored and saved for 30 days. That featured was disabled June 26. On July 26, those photos will be permanently deleted.

Any photos saved before June 26 will stay in iCloud for 30 days and will be available as long as My Photo Stream is.

Apple says that you will not lose your photos if you have the original device that they were taken on. They recommend saving photos that you want onto your devices.

Now, iCloud photos will be the way to permanently keep your pictures across all Apple devices.

Apple says that if a user is already using iCloud to store there pictures and videos, they have nothing else to do.
