A 19-year-old from Warsaw is facing rape and sexual misconduct charges after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old last summer.

Braden Andrew Miller is charged with rape, sexual misconduct with a minor, and criminal confinement, according to the Warsaw Times-Union.

The probable cause affidavit says the department was made aware of a minor possibly being a victim of sexual assault in February, and the minor told police the incident happened back in August when they were at a friends house and Miller came over with a friend.

The group went to a store, and after returning to Miller’s vehicle, the other two people exited the vehicle. Miller allegedly drove to a darker part of the parking lot and forcibly had sex with the 14-year-old.

The victim said they had never met Miller before the incident. Miller’s initial hearing is scheduled for July 13.
