Autopsy completed on body of man found dead after Niles-to-South Bend police chase

The autopsy is done on the body of Joshua Ringle, who is the suspect who died at the end of a police chase that started in Niles on Wednesday, July 19, and ended in downtown South Bend.

The coroner says the results are “still pending.”

Investigators have still not said if Ringle was shot and killed at the end of the chase, in which officers were seen on video firing shots at Ringle.

Ringle had fired shots of his own first as he was running across the parking lot of a McDonald’s.

Investigators are still looking into what happened with the chase.

Why an autopsy?

Anyone stupid enough to fire a gun at law enforcement officers, should be shot in return. Mr. Ringle was incredibly bold to think he could get away with all the crimes he committed that day. Thank God no law enforcement officer was killed during this whole incident. Not to mention innocent motorists or pedestrians.

I for one would like to know the blood test results that he had in his system. MNC news, please follow up with a story when you find out. At least this criminal is off the streets permanently.

Maybe the autopsy was to see if he was shot in the back? https://youtu.be/gnUXsn3FFbA

The comments on Youtube were every bit as dumb as I figured they would be.

If the guy is willing to shoot at cops, then it’s pretty obvious he’ll shoot at anyone he sees and this is a danger to the public and needs to be stopped with force. Once he fires, it doesn’t really matter if he was running away or not.

Who cares if he was shot in the back? It’s not relevant.
He got what he deserved.

I say the same and agree entirely 100% with the comments made, aside from when it’s a cop (there’s many) is abusing there authority on that one civilian that’s not gonna accept it, a life was lost regardless of way or reason, too many people somehow think there god and have reason to pass judgment on another, based on whatever part shown or told about from a person’s entire life , just to think they form any opinion about somebody they don’t know anything about clarifies there character, this man obviously wasn’t no angel, but neither a pastor of a church abusing someone’s child or whatever no one has the right to praise the death of another’s life.
