A man who tried to rob a gas station in Cassopolis was stopped in his tracks by a customer armed with a gun.
The Village of Cassopolis Police Chief says offers were sent around 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, to the Stone Lake Marathon Gas Station on South Broadway Street.
On arrival, they found a male had been shot several times, and another male was holding the suspect at gun point.
Officers determine that the male that was shot had attempted to rob the clerk, and was shot by the customer with the gun.
The robbery suspect was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for care.
The male who shot the suspect has a valid Michigan concealed pistol license.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and arrested a female for possession of methamphetamine and for an outstanding warrant for the same offense.

Thank you, customer.
That was commendable Mr. Armed customer.
Think about it robbers. You might die.
We need more of this.
Being addicted to meth makes you do the darndest thing, like robbing convenience stores. My suggestion is don’t have meth on your person when conducting a robbery either.
New York City is prosecuting Daniel Penny to stop law abiding citizens from stopping crime. The message is clear: interfere with a criminal and YOU will be charged.
Michigan hasn’t been corrupted long enough for the leftist rot to have progressed to that point (yet), but with slime like Whitmer and Nessell in power the day is coming where you’ll be prosecuted for stopping a criminal in Michigan.
I salute the armed citizen who stopped this robbery, though I do wish he’d have been a better shot…
first!!!!!!!!
