Planet Fitness locations across Northern Indiana are launching a school supply drive for the Boys and Girls Club.

Eleven locations are holding the drive to help kids in grades K-12 at the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Locations participating include those in Elkhart, Goshen, Michigan City, Warsaw, La Porte, Huntington, and Fort Wayne.

They’re collecting writing utensils, notebooks, backpacks, and other school supplies.

Planet Fitness says that they are organizing the drive, because of inflation and the rising cost of back to school season. All items will be distributed by Northern Indiana Boys & Girls Club chapters staff to local children in need.

Parents will spend an average of $890 this school season. Anybody can donate school supplies from Aug. 1 through Aug. 18 at the participating Planet Fitness locations.
