Cass County will receive a substantial amount of money.

It’s amounting to several hundred thousand dollars, aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of homes and reducing their operating expenses.

The Cass County Land Bank Authority, together with the city of Dowagiac, will receive $800,000 from the statewide grant of $5 million.

The MI-HOPE program, which promotes energy efficiency in housing, will provide assistance to homeowners in the form of repairs and upgrades.
