Police pursuit ends with Elkhart man crashing his motorcycle

A police pursuit led to an Elkhart man crashing his motorcycle.

The chase was underway around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, in the area of County Road 21, north of County Road 19, in Goshen.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s office says the 40-year-old man was traveling northbound while being pursued by Goshen police.

They say he traveled off the road, hit a small cable box, and continued through two yards before coming to a stop.

The man was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with cuts to his face.

There was no immediate word on why police were pursuing the man.
