A Cass County Fair champion’s banners were defaced.

And now, people from across the country have donated more than $2,000 to Brianna Stockwell.

Leader Publications reports that Stockwell arrived at the Cass County Fair Dairy Barn on Wednesday, Aug. 2, to find her Grand Champion Dairy Feeder, Champion Steer Showman and Champion Middleweight banners had been defaced by vandals.

She was able to group after finding the vandalism and win Champion Market Swine and Champion Overall Market Heifer awards.

Stockwell has been competing in fair activities for the past eleven years.

She says that she is overwhelmed by the support she has received from community members and organizations across the county.
