Three swimmers taken to hospital after being rescued in Lake Michigan expected to recover

Three swimmers who were rescued from Lake Michigan on Monday are expected to make full recoveries.

Several 911 calls were made about up to four swimmers who were in danger at New Buffalo Beach. Two were still in the water when officials arrived and a third required medical attention.

Red flags had been flying at Lake Michigan beaches on Monday to warn people of potentially dangerous swimming conditions with waves of three to five feet.
