A new building for the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office is in the works.
They’re hoping to build it right off of the parking lot on the jail property.
The cost is estimated to be around $400,000, but no taxpayer dollars will be used.
Instead, American Rescue Plan funds provided by the government will be used once the bid is accepted and awarded.
The building is also set to serve as a command central area and is planned to take six months to build once the bid is awarded.
