New recall on jar candles sold by Target; one injury reported

(Consumer Product Safety Commission)

Target has announced another recall on candles.

On Thursday, federal regulators announced that Target was recalling another 2.2 million candles due to laceration and burn hazards.

This recall is for Threshold-brand candles in a number of sizes and scents, including frosted vanilla cupcake, rose pedal and lotus, blue agave and cactus, pumpkin spice, and others. Consumers should immediately stop using these candles and return them to any Target store or by mail for a full refund. They were sold at Target stores nationwide and online from February 2020 through July of this year.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the candle jars can break and risk injury. Target has received 19 reports of candle jars breaking or cracking during use for this recall, including one minor injury.
