23-year-old Benton Township resident accused of firing shots into home in St. Joseph

A 23-year-old Benton Township resident arrested who police believe fired gunshots into a home in St. Joseph was scheduled for arraignment in Berrien County Court on Monday, Aug. 28.

Police were called just before 4 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, to the home in the 2600 block of South State Street.

They arrived to find evidence of multiple shots fired at the dwelling.

Three people were in the home at the time but were not hurt.

Police quickly developed a person of interest and took them into custody on several charges.
