Honorary sign to honor late Captain Dave-Dutch-Koehler

The South Bend Fire Department and Firefighters Local 362 would like to invite you to the unveiling of the Honorary sign for deceased Firefighter, Captain Dave-Dutch-Koehler on the corner of Olive and Linden.
Captain Dave-Dutch-Koehler passed away losing his battle with brain cancer in August 2019. Captain Koehler was a 32-year veteran of the South Bend Fire Department.
Koehler was a life-long resident of South Bend where he was a student athlete and graduate of LaSalle High school.
The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 9, at 220 N. Olive Street at South Bend Fire Station 4. The unveiling will then take place following the ceremony.
There will be light refreshments to follow at South Bend Fire Station 4 provided by Firefighters Local 362.
Retired South Bend Captain Ken Marks made the request for this honorary sign for his fellow men and women of the South Bend Fire Department and the citizens of the second district of South Bend.
